I wish this dude were in Westwood right now to kick some serious cloud ass for turning my leather boots tye dye and making my bangs gappy.

Also, I found this pic on one of my new favieblogs, piaarrobio.com, after reading this hilarious and disturbingly accurate article on skater dewds she wrote for Missbehave. Her blog is called "fighting the war against blowing it" and I think she's doing a pretty good job at just that.

oh you pretty things

Come by Space 15 Twenty tomorrow to celebrate the release of favie artist Kime Buzzelli's awesome collab with Urban Decay!

I've been lusting after Pamela Love's ram ring (above) pretty much forever, but with a $660 price tag it's obviously always been more than slightly out of reach. Luckily, I found it's evil twin (below) on etsy for a much more wallet friendly $88. The designer, OnwardIntoTheFuture, makes a bunch of other awesome stuff too, like mushroom cap and crystal ball necklaces. Plus, according to her etsy profile, by wearing this jewelry, we are "connecting, communicating, and continuing the cyclical vibration of the universe." Um, not sure exactly what that means, but I'm totally into it.

I feel like Jimi would be all about these dreamy scenes by French designers Thomas Couderc and Clement Vauchez.

superfly

Still waiting on some more hot pixxx from the fashion show, but here's one of the lovely Barbie Q rocking her new Diamond Meadows headband at the party!

hey, let's do it like we're friends

This saturday I'll be debuting some of my floral headpieces, called Diamond Meadows after one of my fave T. Rex songs, at the midnight fashion show alongside some super cool 70's gear from American Vintage. And if that wasn't enough motivation to show up, you'll also see me put my years of Top Model watching to use as I attempt to work the runway and most likely embarrass myself in a venue that can supposedly house 1,000 people. Awesome. For more info on this once in a lifetime opportunity (no really though, I'm seriously not doing this again) check out myspace.com/hangthedjs. See you there!

Christian Joy has been totally killing it on a regular basis recently, but this outfit for Karen O at Glastonbury might just be unbeatable. If only headdresses were more acceptable as casual wear.

pumpkin faces in the night

Ok, so I know most people probably haven't started thinking about halloween yet, but I've been thinking about it since November 1st. Luckily, it seems like one of my favorite etsy stores, I'm Your Present, has too. They just released their own sassy takes on some classic costumes: made to order pumpkin jumpers and candy corn dresses sweeter than a pillowcase full of chocolate bars. And for $68-85, I'll take one of these over a slutty bumblebee costume from Leg Avenue any day.

deep in my heart there's a house that can hold just about all of yous

This house might be:
a) Dolly Parton's
b) a home for dwarves
or c) completely edible
but I love it so much.
Guess who came into the store cute as ever in a striped tee and keds.

believe me, you're captured, my friend

Sylvia Farago's 80's punk metal vest on The Selby is so sick. If only I could rock one of these without getting stuffed in a locker or something. P.S. this just reminded me -- if you haven't seen Candlemass' "Bewitched" video, don't fight it. It's totally worth all 7 minutes and 35 seconds.

Big Rock Candy Mountain

Lisa Congdon is an artist and illustrator from San Francisco. Her most recent installation, "Life in Wonder Mountain," is a gorgeous marriage of opposing forces: the drab and the fantastic, reality and whimsy. Appalachian ancestors become crystal prisms, deflecting geometric neon rays from their heads, while grandma's antique doilies create kaleidoscopic spider webs from the ceiling and the walls. I especially love the way the antique tans and beiges contrast with the electric oranges, pinks, and blues.

what I know is, trash

Finally got my car washed, but I miss this guy living in the trunk.
I'd probably sell my soul for one of sabbath's rock n' roll cross necklaces.

Back to school shopping used to be so much easier.

I really wish this backpack wasn't $200.

welcome to my nightmare

Normally, hospitals scare the shit out of me, but my bff and favie photographer Sam Muller managed to make even my worst nightmare look cool. Jarold even turned out to be a pretty good model in spite of a dislocated elbow -- SO girl interrupted. Werk it, boyz.

Tropicalia

So on friday, I'm off on a cruise to Mexico for the weekend, but I wish I was staying at Betseyville -- Betsey Johnson's sometimes home in Barra di Potosi, which she rents out to very lucky travelers.

Who needs TV when you've got a T. Rex shirt?

Hey Iggy, how bout letting me borrow that shirt? Please? Just for a little bit?

hot wheels

Vinch might be camera shy, but his bike definitely isn't. With deer antlers, a rabbit pelt, silver rings, and collections from all his travels, his bike is more like a totem on wheels. I'm so jealous.

When life gives you lemons...

Remember those paper chains you made in kindergarten to count down the days to christmas? This is kinda like that but better. Buy one from Bird and Bear on etsy, or fuck it, just make your own.

My new bff

Officially the sassiest beezy in town. Anyone who says lime green doesn't go with anything is totally a liar.
