hey, let's do it like we're friends

This saturday I'll be debuting some of my floral headpieces, called Diamond Meadows after one of my fave T. Rex songs, at the midnight fashion show alongside some super cool 70's gear from American Vintage. And if that wasn't enough motivation to show up, you'll also see me put my years of Top Model watching to use as I attempt to work the runway and most likely embarrass myself in a venue that can supposedly house 1,000 people. Christian Joy has been totally killing it on a regular basis recently, but this outfit for Karen O at Glastonbury might just be unbeatable. If only headdresses were more acceptable as casual wear. 

pumpkin faces in the night

Ok, so I know most people probably haven't started thinking about halloween yet, but I've been thinking about it since November 1st. Luckily, it seems like one of my favorite etsy stores, I'm Your Present, has too. They just released their own sassy takes on some classic costumes: made to order pumpkin jumpers and candy corn dresses sweeter than a pillowcase full of chocolate bars. And for $68-85, I'll take one of these over a slutty bumblebee costume from Leg Avenue any day.

Sylvia Farago's 80's punk metal vest on The Selby is so sick. If only I could rock one of these without getting stuffed in a locker or something. P.S. this just reminded me -- if you haven't seen Candlemass' "Bewitched" video, don't fight it. It's totally worth all 7 minutes and 35 seconds.
